Spaniards Prefer Technology During Black Friday: Allianz Partners Suggest Protecting These Purchases

More than half of Spaniards are getting ready to take advantage of Black Friday deals this year, with a particular focus on computer, technology, and home appliances products. According to a recent report, it is estimated that 67% of consumers will use this date as an opportunity to do their Christmas shopping, with an average spending of 379 euros per person, representing a 12% increase compared to the previous year.

This event, celebrated on the fourth Friday of November, has evolved in Spain, becoming the starting point for the end-of-year shopping season. Commercial strategies have led some stores to start offering discounts since early November, intensifying competition and consumer expectations.

With this increase in spending, Allianz Partners has emphasized the importance of insuring new acquisitions, especially home appliances and electronic devices. The insurance company offers coverage that extends beyond the standard warranty, including mechanical and electrical breakdowns due to the use and wear of components. This protection can last one, two, or even three additional years to the three offered by law.

In addition, Allianz provides solutions for incidents such as theft or accidental damage to electronic devices, covering repairs or replacement when repair is not viable.

Cristina Rosado, Head of Commercial for the Mobile Devices and Digital Risk line at Allianz Partners Spain, emphasizes that Black Friday presents a great opportunity to purchase home appliances and devices at reduced prices. Rosado suggests consumers to insure their purchases to avoid unforeseen expenses due to breakdowns shortly after acquisition. The combination of attractive deals and long-term protection seems to be the ideal strategy in this period of intense consumption.
