Sto is collaborating with their StoTherm Vario mineral system in the transformation of a dealership in Madrid into an innovative hotel.

In order to minimize the energy demand of the new complex, the project developers chose the StoTherm Vario thermal insulation system for its functionality, excellent quality/price ratio, and wide selection of finishes. Sto Ibérica, the Spanish subsidiary of the German multinational specialized in the manufacture and commercialization of construction systems, in its mission to promote and make sustainable architecture a reality in Spain, has participated with its StoTherm Vario external thermal insulation system (ETICS) in the construction of a hotel located on the central Madrid street of Ronda de Valencia, 1. The rehabilitation project, almost completed, has involved the conversion of an old car dealership into a new and innovative hotel complex, whose opening is scheduled for the coming weeks.

The intervention has consisted of modernizing the existing infrastructures, as well as implementing cutting-edge architectural solutions that respect the original structure of the building and focus on energy efficiency. In this way, not only has special emphasis been placed on interior design, creating spaces that combine elegance, functionality, and the latest technologies to offer a unique accommodation experience, but also key importance has been given to thermal comfort and reducing CO₂ emissions.

To achieve this latter premise, the construction company AGYFER, the architecture studio DAAR, and the applicator NOVASATE opted for the application of one of Sto’s most cutting-edge external thermal insulation systems (ETICS), StoTherm Vario, solving the needs of the project both aesthetically and technically and in terms of profitability. Under this objective, both the company and the project developers chose the Sto-Turbofix adhesive as a component.
