In an increasingly complex work environment, business resilience has become a priority for information technology leaders. The ability of organizations to minimize disruptions through robust systems and secure architecture is crucial for maintaining business continuity. In this regard, cloud solutions like Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop are essential, offering scalable and secure experiences that enhance this resilience.
Recently, Microsoft announced significant improvements to its Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop platforms, introducing new tools and features aimed at optimizing organizational operations. One of the most relevant additions is Windows 365 Reserve, which ensures immediate access to a preconfigured cloud PC, mitigating the risk of productivity loss due to failures or absences of the user’s primary device.
Another important innovation is Windows 365 Cloud Apps, which allows companies to provide secure access to individual applications hosted on cloud PCs, facilitating the delivery of software tailored to the needs of different worker profiles. Furthermore, Microsoft introduced Windows 365 Link, a device specifically created for this platform, which enhances access to multiple cloud PCs and offers improved support for multiple monitors.
In terms of security, Microsoft has implemented stricter configurations that provide more robust protection by default. These include disabling selective redirections and additional controls to safeguard against credential theft and core-level vulnerabilities. This is complemented by the new Cross-region Disaster Recovery feature, which enables organizations to create “snapshots” of cloud PCs in different geographic locations, adding an extra layer of security against disasters.
To encourage the adoption of these cloud solutions, Microsoft is offering a promotion with a 20% discount on all Windows 365 plans for new customers. With these updates, the company aims not only to enhance the productivity and security of organizations but also to prepare them to be more flexible and resilient in a constantly changing market.
