Success in Vocational Training: The Higher Technician in Transport and Logistics as a Key to Transforming the World

The AT-DAC Institute, in collaboration with AT Academia del Transportista, has launched the 2025/2026 school year for the Vocational Training (VT) program in Transportation and Logistics. The inauguration event, which attracted hundreds of students, educators, and logistics leaders in Spain, reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to excellence in professional training in this field.

The ceremony featured Elena Atance, General Director of Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation and Sustainable Mobility. In her speech, Atance encouraged attendees to become “architects and guardians of the entire logistics chain.” She highlighted the importance of innovation, electric vehicles, automated systems, and artificial intelligence—topics that will shape the future of transportation and logistics. “You are in a privileged position to become the protagonists of this logistics revolution,” she emphasized.

Francisco Paz, Director of Institutional Relations at AT Academia del Transportista, highlighted the essential role that the transportation sector plays in the daily operations of society. “We need professionals throughout the value chain,” he stated, stressing the need for training at various levels to meet the sector’s demands.

Myriam Otero, General Secretary of Apetamcor, noted the improvements made in training, pointing out that it has become more digital and sustainable. She also emphasized the importance of internships as an essential part of the education of future professionals in the sector.

Sergio Novoa, Regional Director of Onet Iberia, offered a business perspective on training, emphasizing the relevance of acquiring basic knowledge that will allow for specialization within companies. He pointed out the high demand for labor facing the sector, highlighting significant opportunities for recent graduates.

Elisa Capote, Director of the AT-DAC Institute, concluded the event with an inspiring message, reminding students that their training will open doors to a key sector in the global economy. She highlighted the flexibility provided by online VT, allowing students to balance work and study. “You are among the chosen ones to move the world,” she concluded.
