Smartick, an innovative personalized learning method for children aged 4 to 14, has been selected as a finalist in the Mathematics category of the 2025 EdTech Awards. This prestigious recognition, considered one of the most significant in the field of educational technology worldwide, highlights the quality of the platform and positions Smartick as the only Spanish representation among this year’s finalists, consolidating its leadership in the EdTech sector.
The EdTech Awards, organized annually by EdTech Digest since 2010, celebrate entities and professionals who are transforming education through the use of technology. Smartick’s inclusion as a finalist not only highlights its excellence as an educational tool but also the tangible impact it has had on its students. According to platform data, 94% of users improve their skills in calculation, logic, and problem-solving, and 8 out of 10 students manage to raise their grades in mathematics.
In a context of intense debate about screen use in education, Smartick advocates for a responsible approach to technology use. Javier Arroyo, co-founder of the company, emphasized the relevance of the 15-minute sessions offered by the platform, which are tailored to each student’s level. This method allows for automatic correction, making teachers’ work more efficient and providing immediate feedback that reinforces learning. Arroyo stressed that exercise design is carried out by a team of didactic experts, ensuring that each child receives appropriate support.
The nomination for the EdTech Awards is considered a reflection of Smartick’s innovative approach, which combines personalization and technology to make a significant difference in global mathematical education. Arroyo also mentioned the challenges that many countries face regarding performance in mathematics, reaffirming Smartick’s commitment to helping each child reach their full potential and not waste their talent.
With this new recognition, which adds to its inclusion in the list of the top 250 most relevant companies in the sector according to Time magazine, Smartick continues to work on constant improvement of its platform. The company updates its content every six weeks, based on feedback obtained from its own data. “Being among the finalists of the EdTech Awards is a great pride and motivates us to continue innovating,” concluded Arroyo, highlighting that these types of competitions allow Smartick to remain competitive in the global educational environment.
