Total transformation: three self-installable materials to renovate your terrace.

In the heart of Madrid, a terrace in a modest building has caught the attention of neighbors and onlookers due to its surprising transformation using three different materials for the flooring, all of them self-installable. The initiative was driven by Jorge and Marta, a young couple who decided to make a radical change to their outdoor space with a unique project in the community.

The first section of the terrace was paved with wood composite tiles, a material known for its resistance and durability. “We chose this material because we wanted something easy to maintain and that could withstand the elements. Additionally, it gives a warm and cozy touch to the space,” commented Jorge, one of the owners.

For the second part, Juan and Marta opted for a high-quality artificial grass floor. The installation was simple, and in a few hours, they could already enjoy a green area that does not require constant watering or maintenance. “We love the feeling of having a garden and we can do so without the complications of natural grass. It’s perfect for relaxing and for our children to play,” added Marta.

The third and final material chosen was PVC ceramic imitation, which was installed in the area closest to the kitchen door. Its non-slip characteristics and low cost were determining factors in this choice. “We wanted something practical and aesthetically pleasing. This material combines the best of both worlds,” explained Jorge.

The transformation of the terrace has not only improved the quality of life for Jorge and Marta but has also served as inspiration for other neighbors. According to them, several residents of the building have already shown interest in making similar changes to their own balconies and terraces, attracted by the low cost and ease of installation of these materials.

With this renovation, Jorge and Marta have demonstrated that it is possible to revamp an outdoor space with creativity and a moderate investment. The three materials used have not only resulted in a noticeable aesthetic improvement, but have also created a multifunctional space that can be used in various ways, from a play area to a relaxation corner.

The experience has been so positive that the couple is already thinking about their next renovation project, this time inside their home. Meanwhile, the terrace continues to be the favorite meeting point, not only for them but also for their friends and family who now enjoy a modern and cozy space.
