Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, has announced the acquisition of assets and technologies from BiXin Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd (BSE), a prominent Chinese manufacturer in cooling systems. This acquisition, carried out through its Chinese subsidiary, aims to expand the company’s range of chillers and strengthen its ability to provide efficient support for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence applications worldwide.
Founded in 2010, BSE specializes in both air-cooled and water-cooled cooling systems, with capacities up to 5.5 MW. The company is also known for its innovative heat recovery and reuse solutions. Among its strengths is the manufacturing of oil-free, magnetic-bearing centrifugal chillers, which have gained recognition in the Asian market for their high efficiency and low maintenance. The acquisition will allow Vertiv to benefit from BSE’s strong presence in the Chinese market and other Asian regions, as well as its portfolio of patents and research and development capabilities.
Giordano Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv, emphasized that this acquisition is crucial to the company’s capital allocation strategy, which seeks to integrate emerging technologies into its offerings. “BSE’s solutions and technologies complement our current portfolio and enable us to meet the growing demand for cooling required for AI and high-performance computing applications,” he commented.
Since early 2024, Vertiv has collaborated with BSE to develop products under its brand, serving a significant number of customers in China and other parts of Asia. BSE’s testing facilities are certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and the company has been recognized as a High-Tech Enterprise in China, supporting the quality of its products.
On the other hand, York Zha, CEO of BSE, expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, highlighting that the integration of both offerings will enable providing more efficient and reliable cooling solutions to data center customers globally. Through this acquisition, Vertiv continues to strengthen its position in the sector, expanding its portfolio of critical digital infrastructures to meet the demands of an increasingly digitized world.
