Welfare: The Third Opening in Barcelona Reinforces Its Leadership in Coworking for Personal Trainers

Welfare, the innovative coworking space specialized in personal training and health, continues its expansion in Barcelona with the opening of its third location on January 10th at 177 Girona Street. This new center, in addition to the existing ones on Muntaner and Santaló, represents an investment of 300,000 euros and spans an area of 300 m², with capacity for over 30 trainers and 400 monthly clients.

Founded four years ago, Welfare has experienced solid growth, serving over 1,000 clients and employing 45 professionals in its facilities. Their business model is based on a “pay per use” system, allowing users to enjoy personal training, physiotherapy, nutrition, and other services without the obligation of monthly fees. This approach makes it the only center in Spain that brings together such a high number of professionals in one space.

Miki Ferrándiz, co-founder and CEO of Welfare, emphasized the importance of this new opening in the context of their growth in Barcelona. The company plans to open five new franchise centers in the next five years and aims to increase its revenue by 300% by 2030. “We are in a very sweet moment that allows us to consolidate our business model,” Ferrándiz states.

The new center will offer, in its first phase, a room dedicated to personal and small group training with a focus on strength training. In a second phase, multidisciplinary group sessions are planned including activities like yoga, spinning, and HIIT, with the goal of attracting a wide range of audiences and meeting the demands of a continuously growing market.

Welfare will also launch “Strong by Welfare,” a new business line focused on strength training in small groups. This program, consisting of 50-minute sessions, aims to create a motivating environment where users can work together on their strength and toning goals, benefiting from a communal space that offers personalized attention.

With a modern infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art machines from the Etenon brand, Welfare stands as a reference in the fitness sector in the city. The company is confident that this opening will not only strengthen its influence in Barcelona but also generate a significant increase in revenue, replicating the success of its second opening.
