WETEX 2024: Hosts 21 International Pavilions on Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment.

The 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) will feature 21 international pavilions from different countries, as reported by the organizers. The event, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), will take place from October 1 to 3, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will include the participation of more than 2,800 companies from 65 countries.

“We are proud of the growing global position of WETEX. It has become an annual event attended by all public and private organizations, reaching a wider network of investors and new markets, building business relationships, signing agreements, promoting their businesses, and exchanging the latest technologies and innovations,” said SE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and founder and chairman of WETEX.

The collaboration between WAPTAG and WETEX has strengthened over the years, also reflecting the ties between the United Arab Emirates and India. “The participation of WAPTAG members increased by nearly 50% compared to last year and we all look forward to much greater and more cohesive participation in the years to come. The companies participating in the WAPTAG India pavilion at WETEX are among the top manufacturers in the market and will showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions for all drinking water, wastewater, and sewage treatment solutions,” said Rishabh Sanghvi, vice president of the Gujarat Water Treatment and Purification Association (WAPTAG).

Edith Mayeux, Economic Advisor of AWEX, the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency, commented: “We are very excited to host six brilliant companies from the Walloon region in our Belgium Pavilion. With such a broad spectrum of expertise, such as water treatment, processors, IT, and green hydrogen, we can ensure that our personal experiences will contribute to the efforts undertaken to combat climate change and its impacts.”

Italy’s participation has also been renewed, according to Valerio Soldani, Commissioner of Italian Trade in the United Arab Emirates and Director of the ITA Office in Dubai. “I am proud to announce Italy’s renewed participation in WETEX 2024. The Italian Pavilion at WETEX 2024, organized by the Italian Trade Agency with a large number of local companies, embodies Italy’s dedication to leading sustainable innovation and promoting a greener economy,” Soldani stated.

Additionally, Mikalai Barysevich, Director General of the National Marketing Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, expressed: “We thank DEWA for providing the National Marketing Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, as the main national institution for promoting foreign trade, the opportunity to organize the Belarus Pavilion at WETEX. It is a great opportunity for our companies to showcase their latest technologies and efficient solutions, demonstrating the immense potential of our country in promoting cooperation. We are confident that this first participatory experience will mark the starting point for large-scale projects in the future.”

The WETEX event promises to be a crucial meeting point for international and local companies in the water, energy, and environment sector, with the mission of fostering sustainable innovations and global collaborations.
