Windows 11 Insider Build 22635.4880 Preview Announcement on Beta Channel

Microsoft has announced the release of a new version of its operating system Windows 11, called Insider Preview Build 22635.4880 (KB5052100), available to Beta Channel users. This update is specifically targeted at Insiders who have not yet migrated to the 24H2 version of Windows 11.

The new features of this update include general improvements, as well as fixes to various technical issues reported by users. One of the highlights of the update is the fix for a bug that was causing unexpected closures on the settings homepage for some Insiders, promising a smoother user experience.

However, the update also presents some known issues. Users have reported slowness when trying to close the file explorer, especially when using the close button. Additionally, it has been observed that the new information cards about enterprise devices and accessibility preferences appear on unmanaged devices, but logging in with Microsoft accounts. This aspect is currently being investigated by the development team.

In parallel with the system update, Microsoft has improved the Paint application. The new version, 11.2412.271.0 and higher, includes a revamped Copilot menu that allows users to access smart tools to facilitate the generation and editing of images. Among these tools are Cocreator, Image Creator, Generative Erase, and Remove Background; however, it is important to note that Cocreator will only be available on devices that support Copilot+.

Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive updates based on the 23H2 version of Windows 11 through an enablement package, and it is advised that many features are implemented gradually. Therefore, users are recommended to stay alert to the updates available in the Windows settings. Additionally, the development team has mentioned that some features, which are being tested with the community, may not be included in the final versions.

Microsoft has emphasized the importance of receiving feedback from Insiders, encouraging them to submit their comments through the Feedback Hub to continue improving the operating system.
