Windows 11 Insider Build 26120.3941 Preview Announcement in the Beta Channel

Microsoft has released a new version of its Windows 11 operating system, Insider Preview Build 26120.3941 (KB5055634), available to users in the Beta channel. This update is part of the 24H2 version of Windows 11 and brings a series of new features and improvements aimed at optimizing the experience for those participating in the Insider program.

One of the standout features is the implementation of a new profanity filter for the voice dictation feature. This option allows users to choose whether they want the system to hide profanities with asterisks or if they prefer them to be written as they are pronounced. To make this adjustment, simply access the dictation feature via the Win + H shortcut, select the settings icon, and use the new filter switch.

Furthermore, the Click to Do functionality has been improved, allowing users to configure their digital pen to open this application with a single click, double click, or by holding it down. Additionally, Click to Do can be added as one of the four applications that can be launched from the pen menu, making it easier to access on compatible devices.

Search in Windows has also seen significant improvements, especially for users who use OneDrive with work or school accounts. Now, these users will only see results related to files in the cloud. Moreover, accessibility has been enhanced in the quick settings, organizing assistive technologies by categories such as vision, hearing, motor, and mobility.

Regarding the issues resolved in this update, highlights include those that caused some applications to appear blank after installation, as well as an issue related to Windows Hello facial recognition that affected certain users. Additionally, various problems with the touch keyboard and system settings have been corrected.

However, the update has encountered some issues. Users have reported failures when trying to use Windows Sandbox, and an error is being investigated that prevents certain essential system surfaces from loading in safe mode. There have also been complaints about connecting Xbox controllers via Bluetooth, causing errors on some testers’ computers.

Microsoft has reminded Windows Insiders that their experience may vary and that the availability of new features is implemented gradually. User feedback is crucial to continue improving this operating system before its official release to the public.
