WISeSat Spain SA: Pioneers in European Space Projects from Andalusia.

WISeSat.Space, an innovative company dedicated to secure satellite connectivity solutions and part of the WISeKey International Holding Ltd group, has announced the creation of its new subsidiary in Spain, WISeSat España, which will be located in La Línea de la Concepción, in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. This move represents a significant step forward for the development of an industrial and technological ecosystem in Europe, particularly in the space and quantum sectors, and is in line with the digital sovereignty initiatives promoted by the European Union.

The choice of La Línea de la Concepción as the location for the new subsidiary headquarters is due to its strategic location in the strait that connects Europe with Africa, making it an emerging center for technological innovation. Additionally, the city has the necessary institutional support and adequate logistical infrastructure that will facilitate the company’s development.

WISeSat España is part of the LL4GIR.COM project, an ambitious collaboration between the public and private sectors that aims to create a Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in southern Europe. This center will focus on the development of critical technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and space connectivity, with the aim of positioning the region as a global reference in resilience and sustainable economic progress.

The launch of this new subsidiary is aimed at establishing a fully European space value chain, ensuring technological sovereignty, security, and project sustainability. This is in line with the objectives of the IRIS² program, driven by the European Commission, which aims to develop a satellite constellation to ensure connectivity across the continent.

Among the highlighted plans of WISeSat España are the manufacturing of nanosatellites in partnership with FOSSA Systems and the launch of satellites in collaboration with PLD Space starting in 2026. Additionally, they are working on the development of post-quantum processors with companies like QuantixS and SEALSQ. The company already has an operational satellite antenna at the La Línea City Hall, which will facilitate direct connection with satellites in orbit.

The innovative approach of WISeSat España is based on the creation of a decentralized network of European technological nodes, which will promote transparency, interoperability, and sovereign control. Carlos Creus Moreira, CEO of WISeKey, has emphasized the importance of having its own secure infrastructure in critical areas such as space and cybersecurity for the future of Europe.

Additionally, WISeSat has successfully launched picosatellites in collaboration with FOSSA, laying the foundation for a new generation of satellites equipped with advanced security protocols. The company has also forged a strategic collaboration with Skyroot Aerospace in India, expanding its launch capabilities to various orbital trajectories.

By the end of 2025, WISeSat’s satellites are expected to have the ability to perform transactions using SEALCOIN tokens, creating a secure network for machine-to-machine (M2M) interactions. This infrastructure will enable efficient management of digital identities through the “Know Your Object” (KYO) system, ensuring reliable information exchange.

WISeSat España calls upon governments, universities, research and development centers, investors, and technology companies to join forces in creating a new paradigm of intelligent economic development, integrating emerging technologies and generating high-quality employment in the region.
