Innova-tsn, a leading data analytics consulting firm, has officially joined Iberdrola’s Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub located in Bilbao. This center aims to promote innovation in the electric grids of the future and consists of over 100 entities and collaborators. Its main objective is to drive research and development projects focusing on the challenges of digitalization, data management, and adapting the electric grid to new consumption models such as electric mobility and self-consumption.
The collaboration between Innova-tsn and Iberdrola spans over 12 years, during which they have worked together on various initiatives. Javier Ontañon, data management manager at i-DE Smart Grids, has expressed his satisfaction with Innova-tsn’s inclusion in the hub, highlighting the extensive track record and experience of the consulting firm in the sector.
By 2024, Iberdrola Spain Networks plans to allocate 42 million euros to R&D projects focused on digitalizing networks, integrating renewable energies, electric mobility, and energy storage systems. In this context, Innova-tsn, specializing in data lifecycle and solutions for detecting electric fraud using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, will join the hub to contribute its valuable expertise.
Carolina Martínez, account manager at Innova-tsn, has expressed the company’s enthusiasm for collaborating with a leading entity in the sector like Iberdrola. During her speech, she emphasized that “technology will help build the society of the future,” underlining the importance of electric grids and energy transition in this process.
