Inauguration of the New Photovoltaic Plant of Food Aerosols in Tarragona by MASPV.

A new photovoltaic plant has been inaugurated in Tarragona, resulting from the collaboration between MASPV, recognized in the solar energy sector, and Food Aerosols, a leader in the production of food aerosols. The primary goal of this facility is to promote the use of renewable energy and reduce the ecological footprint in the food industry.

The plant covers an area of 328 square meters and has a peak power of 70.68 kW. For its construction, solar modules from the renowned brand JA SOLAR have been used, and a no-drilling anchoring system has been implemented, ensuring an efficient and environmentally friendly installation. It is estimated that the plant will produce around 97,971 kWh per year, enabling a 47.84% independence from the conventional electrical grid. This translates to a reduction of 39 tons of CO2 and an equivalent savings of 36 tons of coal each year, in addition to preventing the cutting down of 435 trees annually.

Marco De Bianchi, a representative of MASPV, highlighted that this facility represents a significant advancement in reducing the carbon footprint in the food sector, illustrating that renewable energy can be effectively integrated into industry operations. Meanwhile, David Cobos, CEO of Food Aerosols, emphasized that clean energy is essential to their sustainability strategy, marking an important step towards energy independence and emissions reduction.

The project has been carried out under an EPC contract by MASPV, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. This joint effort not only promotes the use of clean energy but also establishes a more responsible production model in the fight against climate change, thereby reaffirming both companies’ commitment to the environment.
