Civil Society Leaders Celebrate Advances in Diversity and Inclusion on Adecco Foundation Anniversary.

The Adecco Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special event at the iconic Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid, bringing together important figures from various sectors along with beneficiaries of its social work. The inauguration was led by Inmaculada Sanz Otero, deputy mayor of Madrid, who highlighted the importance of the foundation’s mission in promoting equal opportunities through employment, an essential element for social cohesion.

The ceremony featured the participation of notable personalities such as María Isabel Perelló Doménech, president of the Supreme Court, and former Ministers of Employment such as Valeriano Gomez, Magdalena Valerio, and Fátima Báñez. Also in attendance were regional authorities and high-ranking officials from the Army and the Civil Guard. Desirée Vila, Paralympic athlete, and Javi Martín, actor and presenter, acted as masters of ceremonies, as ambassadors of the Adecco Foundation.

The event, attended by nearly 300 people, offered the opportunity to hear inspiring stories of those who have been helped by the foundation in their employment integration. Through the dynamic “The Inclusion Game of the Goose,” the foundation’s most effective initiatives were presented, focusing on ensuring employment for all, regardless of their personal circumstances.

Enrique Sánchez, president of the Adecco Foundation, highlighted the values of empathy, willpower, and passion that guide the institution in its support of the most needy in their job search, seen as an essential path to normalize their lives. Francisco Mesonero, the entity’s general director, expressed gratitude for institutional and private sector support, essential for transforming lives through employment.

Since its creation in 1999, the Adecco Foundation has grown, forming a team of over 325 professionals and developing an effective intervention model. It has assisted 635,000 people at risk of exclusion, facilitating over 105,000 jobs mainly directed to people with disabilities, over 45 years old, long-term unemployed, women with unshared family responsibilities, victims of gender violence, and other vulnerable groups.

The celebration at the Palacio de Cibeles marked the culmination of a year of intense activities, highlighting the “Employment Roadshow,” an initiative that brought job guidance to several Spanish cities during the first semester. This commitment reaffirms the Grupo Adecco and its foundation’s intention to expand their social impact, promoting inclusion and eliminating barriers.
