It is not frequent to see an indoor sauna with wonderful finishings as this one. This was the challenge of Partisans Projects architecture studio. They have installed it in a private island in the north of Toronto a few months ago. The soft and modern wooden panels simulate a modern reinterpretation of a cave inside the sea.
This wonderful building was pre-fabricated outside the island and was then taken to the current location by boat. The elegant and soft indoor shapes contrast wonderfully with the sober and straight outdoor, covered by brown worn away panels. Besides, it is placed in a rocky promontory that has a wonderful view that could be seen through a big window.
If you want to relax thanks to the sweat and you are close to Canada bay, look for this wonderful place of contrasts of hot and cold.
