Hudisa Superar SMETA 4 Pillars: Certification as a Socially Responsible Company.

Hudisa has successfully passed the SMETA audit in its four main pillars: health and safety, labor standards, environment, and business ethics. This globally recognized social audit allows companies to ethically self-assess and evaluate their suppliers, ensuring that all parties involved in the industrial process act fairly and responsibly.

Participating companies publish the results of their social responsibility audits on a database accessible only to SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) members, a non-profit organization that supports companies committed to continuously improving ethical performance.

The SMETA methodology is based on the ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) code and local laws to evaluate various aspects. These include freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining in the workplace, payment of a minimum wage, absence of discrimination, and assurance of safe, healthy, and hygienic working conditions, among others.

For Hudisa, surpassing this audit represents a significant improvement in corporate image and how the company is perceived by customers, suppliers, employees, and stakeholders. This achievement highlights Hudisa’s efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ethical commitment, social justice, equality, and inclusion, strengthening its brand image. Additionally, SMETA allows for a better understanding of suppliers and ensures they meet expected ethical requirements, identifying potential areas for improvement.

The current production model does not always consider the impact of industrial activities on the environment, making passing audits like SMETA even more relevant.

Hudisa, whose activity began in 2002, is located in the province of Huelva. With a production capacity of over 20 million kilos annually and a daily capacity of 350,000 kg, Hudisa is positioned as the leading company in southern Europe in its field, operating in more than 30 countries and on all five continents.
