Prats strengthens its management team to face the post-centennial year.

Grupo Prats, a prominent Spanish multinational company, starts off the year 2025 with ambitious plans after celebrating its centenary. In this context, the company has strengthened its senior management team through two strategic appointments aimed at consolidating its presence in the international market. Ricardo Mayoralas has been appointed Sales Manager and Josep Badía takes on the role of Production Director at the Madrid laboratory.

Ricardo Mayoralas, a graduate in Optics with a Master’s degree in Marketing Management, brings extensive experience in the optical sector. His career has been marked by a commercial focus in various areas of the business. From his position, Mayoralas will be tasked with leading Grupo Prats’ sales strategy, which already distributes its products in over 22 countries, spanning Europe, Africa, and Latin America. This year also sees the opening of a new factory in Colombia, adding to the already operational one in Costa Rica.

As for Josep Badía, an industrial engineer with a Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, he is entrusted with the production management of the company’s Madrid plant. Badía brings nearly ten years of experience in sectors including medical, automotive, aerospace, and defense. His mission will be to optimize the resources of this advanced facility, implementing innovative methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and ensure excellence in the production processes.

Founded in 1924, Grupo Prats has established itself as a leader in the development of optical-ophthalmic solutions, offering products tailored to the specific needs of each customer.
