The South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics today revealed its financial forecasts for the second quarter of 2024. According to the information released, consolidated sales are expected to reach approximately 74 trillion South Korean won, while operating profit is projected to be around 10.4 trillion South Korean won.
These projections are based on the Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS), and it is worth noting that Korean disclosure regulations require that earnings estimates not be presented in a range. Therefore, the figures mentioned represent the median of the estimated ranges provided by the company.
Specifically, Samsung anticipates that sales will range between 73 trillion and 75 trillion South Korean won, while operating profit will fluctuate between 10.3 trillion and 10.5 trillion South Korean won.
Comparing these forecasts with historical data, consolidated sales for the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 71.92 trillion won, with an operating profit of 6.61 trillion won. In the second quarter of 2023, Samsung reported sales of 60.01 trillion won and an operating profit of just 0.67 trillion won.
These figures highlight a notable growth in sales and operating profits for Samsung compared to the same periods of the previous year, underscoring the company’s strong performance in the global market and its ability to adapt to changing economic conditions and consumer demands.
