Samsung Electronics today unveiled its latest innovations in home entertainment, The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 projectors. These ultra-short throw projectors are designed to deliver an unparalleled viewing experience, transforming any living space into a high-end home cinema with stunning 4K resolution, surround sound, and other advanced features.
“With The Premiere projector lineup, we will redefine the premium home cinema experience, combining our advanced laser technology with cutting-edge and user-friendly features that provide spectacular image quality and surround sound,” said Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Displays Business. “As we continue to innovate, we envision a future where our products transform everyday spaces into immersive entertainment centers, setting new standards for home entertainment.”
The latest additions to Samsung’s The Premiere lineup meet the growing demand for high-quality entertainment solutions, using state-of-the-art laser technology to bring the cinema experience directly to homes. The Premiere 9 model features triple laser technology to enhance color accuracy and brightness, while both models offer ultra-short throw capabilities and vibrant 4K resolution on screens up to 130 inches.
The vibrant 4K resolution and exceptional color accuracy of The Premiere projector bring every scene to life. The Premiere 9 and Premiere 7 models provide color gamut coverage of 154% and 100% of the DCI-P3 standard respectively, and both models support HDR10+, ensuring clear and vivid images even in bright environments. With a maximum brightness of 3,450 ISO lumens for The Premiere 9 and 2,500 ISO lumens for The Premiere 7, these projectors offer sharp and dynamic visuals.
To further enhance image quality, The Premiere projectors are equipped with AI-assisted image enhancement innovations, such as image scaling to 4K and Vision Booster, a technology that automatically adjusts brightness and contrast in various lighting conditions for optimal image quality.
The built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos technology in both models provide powerful and immersive audio, creating a true home cinema experience without the need for additional sound equipment. The Premiere 9 features 2.2.2 channel upward-firing speakers with 40W, while The Premiere 7 includes 2.2 channel speakers with 30W for expansive sound.
The projectors also feature Samsung’s Tizen operating system, providing access to a wide range of streaming services such as Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video. This ensures that users can enjoy their favorite movies and TV shows at the touch of a button.
For gaming enthusiasts, the Samsung Gaming Hub allows for a seamless gaming experience without the need for a console, with access to a wide selection of cloud-based games. Additionally, the Custom Ambient feature allows users to personalize their home décor by projecting widgets and personal content through the SmartThings app on their mobile phones.
Even when not being used as fully cinematic projectors, The Premiere ensures convenience and entertainment as smart speakers with hands-free voice control and various music applications. Optimized connectivity allows for content sharing from smartphones to the big screen with Tap View and Mirroring, and embedded voice assistant support makes it easy to control the projector and other connected devices with simple voice commands. Integration with SmartThings also allows users to manage smart home devices, such as lights and thermostats, creating a fully integrated home environment.
The Premiere projectors feature a minimalist design in warm white with rounded edges and a premium Kvadrat fabric finish, seamlessly integrating with any home décor. Their compact size and easy installation make them an ideal choice for any room, maximizing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Installing any of The Premiere models is simple: users just need to connect the projector and connect to a wireless network. Ultra-short throw capabilities eliminate the need for complex installations, allowing for large screen projections with minimal effort.
The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 are now available for purchase on Samsung’s official online store and at selected retail locations in the United States, Canada, and China. The rollout will continue in other regions later this year. For more information, visit Samsung.com.
