Schneider Electric appoints Javier Figueras Vaquerizo as Vice President of Industrial Automation for Spain and Portugal.

Schneider Electric has announced the appointment of Javier Figueras Vaquerizo as the new Vice President of the Industrial Automation division of the company in Spain and Portugal. This appointment represents a further step in the company’s strategy to drive digital transformation and energy transition in the industrial sector in the Iberian Peninsula.

Javier Figueras Vaquerizo, an industrial engineer by training, has a distinguished career in the industrial automation sector, having previously held positions of responsibility at companies such as Phoenix Contact, Siemens, Lacroix Sofrel España, and ABB. His experience in both technical and sales aspects will allow him to effectively lead the digital transformation of Spanish and Portuguese industries, promoting them towards greater sustainability and operational efficiency.

“My priority is to position the industrial sector in Iberia at the forefront of digitalization and sustainability, combining energy and operational efficiency through advanced automation. The arrival of Javier Figueras adds to a series of recent movements within Schneider Electric in the Iberian region, including the appointment of Aroa Ruzo as Country Manager of Portugal; Jordi García as Vice President of the Secure Power and Services division in Iberia; and Victor Moure as Vice President of the Power Products and Digital Energy business units in Iberia.

With these appointments, Schneider Electric strengthens its commitment to digitalization and sustainability in the industrial sector in the region, aligning with global trends and consolidating its position as a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation.
