Sibuya Urban Sushi Bar Opens its New Location in Alcalá de Henares as Part of its 2025 Expansion.

This afternoon, SIBUYA Urban Sushi Bar, a renowned chain of Japanese cuisine restaurants, will open its eleventh establishment in the Madrid region, specifically in Alcalá de Henares. With this opening, the brand now has a total of 68 operating restaurants, distributed among 66 in Spain, one in Portugal, and another in Andorra. The new location is situated in Plaza de Cervantes, right in the heart of the city, occupying a space of 242 square meters that will span two floors and have a capacity for 82 diners. Additionally, a terrace with 24 additional seats is planned to be set up.

The restaurant’s decor reflects the brand’s unique style, offering customers the authentic “SIBUYA experience,” where the flavors of Japanese cuisine are combined with a western touch. The menu highlights innovative dishes, such as Gyoza Maki, Curry Udon, Smoke Roll, and Sake KoroKKe, complemented by the already popular Gunkan Lovers and Flamed Roll. To top off the experience, diners can enjoy desserts like the Ichigo.

The SIBUYA Group, in charge of managing this new location, has created 20 stable jobs, mainly aimed at young people in the area with an average age under 30. The Group’s CEO, Jesús Fernández, expressed his enthusiasm for the opening, stating that Alcalá de Henares, with its rich history and tourist appeal, represents a strategic location to strengthen the brand’s presence in the center of Spain. Fernández also anticipated future openings in Madrid Madnum, Jerez de la Frontera, Donostia, and Bilbao in early 2025.

Founded in 2016 by Rubén F. Labandera and Kima Fuentes, the SIBUYA Group has thrived in the restaurant sector and has established itself as a leader in the urban sushi bar concept. The chain stands out for its bold and original approach, offering a culinary experience that combines tradition and modernity in a cozy atmosphere.
