Challenges identified when using traditional techniques of augmented retrieval generation (RAG) include fitting to desired tone and style, as well as retrieving irrelevant documents that can lead to incorrect answers. In response to these issues, SKT and AWS have focused on enhancing the Anthropic models in Amazon Bedrock. Improvements are centered on providing accurate and concise answers, properly referencing retrieved documents, and ensuring that the tone and style of the responses align with SKT’s values.

Furthermore, the team has explored the use of synthetic data generated by large language models to optimize the performance of smaller models, which is especially useful in situations with limited training data.
