The International University Foundation of Madrid (UINMA) and the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), through its Institute of International Legal Studies (IEJI), have taken a significant step in the educational field by announcing a collaboration to offer the new Master’s Degree in Permanent Training in Diplomacy, International Relations, Security and Defense. This program is designed for professionals in the international field and aims to strengthen preparation in essential areas such as diplomacy and global security.
The agreement, signed by UINMA Director Manuel González Folgado and URJC Rector Javier Ramos López, reflects the strength and expertise that both institutions bring to this partnership. While UINMA is recognized for its focus on international education, aimed at forging leaders in an increasingly interconnected world, URJC stands out for its academic excellence and innovation in research, establishing itself as a reference among public universities in Spain.
The Master’s degree stands out for its comprehensive approach to addressing emerging challenges in diplomacy and international security. It is characterized by the integration of multidisciplinary and strategic approaches in areas such as defense and intelligence, international security cooperation, and the study of organized crime and terrorism. These components are crucial for effective decision-making in complex environments and under conditions of uncertainty.
From a methodological point of view, the program is characterized by its innovation, combining theory with practice through specialized modules in multilateral diplomacy, geostrategy, and the application of technology to security. It also offers simulations and case studies, recreating real scenarios, and encourages international collaboration networks that expand networking opportunities. It also includes the possibility of internships in international organizations and strategic centers.
The aim of this Master’s program is to prepare experts capable of operating in multiple spheres, both in the public and private sectors or in global institutions. Its creation responds to the growing need for professionals trained to interpret and adapt to the changing dynamics of the international stage.
The introduction of this program underlines UINMA and URJC’s commitment to quality education and the training of global leaders, ready to face the challenges of a more secure, cooperative, and sustainable future. The alliance between these academic institutions is an example of how collaboration can positively influence preparation to address the challenges of the modern world.
