Tariff inequality: citizens of the Balearic Islands, Madrid, and Extremadura are the ones who pay the most for fiber and mobile services.

According to a study published by Finetwork, the average difference between the autonomous community that pays the most and the least is 15 euros per month.

Finetwork, a Spanish company of fiber and mobile, has shared the results of a study that reveals what Spanish citizens pay for their fixed and mobile Internet services. On average, Spaniards pay 54 euros per month for these connectivity packages. By autonomous communities, citizens of the Balearic Islands lead this list, declaring an average expenditure of 60.70 euros per month, followed by the people of Madrid (58.86 euros) and Extremadura (57.80 euros). On the other end, the people of Murcia would be the ones who pay the least for their fiber and mobile services, with an average of 45.67 euros, more than 15 euros below the top spot and 8 euros less than the national average.

These are some of the main conclusions drawn from a survey conducted by the company from Alicante on a sample of over 2,000 people, customers of various operators in Spain, through IO Investigación. The Finetwork report analyzes the habits of Spaniards regarding Internet consumption and the attention that companies in the sector provide.

Speaking of prices, it is also worth questioning the satisfaction of users regarding the fees they pay for these telecommunication services. Thus, the people of Cantabria are the most satisfied with their fees, with the vast majority, 84.21%, considering that they pay an adequate price for the service they receive, with an average expenditure of 54.76 euros. This is not the case for the Basques, who do not approve of the price they pay, with only 45.56% of respondents stating satisfaction (with an average payment of 52.59 euros).

Another highlight of the Finetwork study is the hours we spend online. In this case, the people of La Rioja lead the ranking with an average daily Internet consumption of 5.36 hours. The podium is completed by the people of Andalusia and Valencia with 5.10 and 5.07 daily hours, respectively. Finally, the people of Cantabria are at the bottom with a consumption of 4.16 daily hours. When it comes to this consumption, it is also the people of La Rioja who navigate the most from their smartphones, with 70.73% of their time on the Internet being done through this channel, while the Navarrese are in the last place with 55.80%.

When it comes to how much Spaniards know about the gigabytes they consume with their mobile phones, it is found that the people of La Rioja are the ones who know their consumption the best, with 81.82% of respondents knowing how many gigabytes they consume per month. On the contrary, 65.91% of Extremadurans claim to be unaware of this amount.

Finetwork, an operator based in Elda (Alicante) with over 1 million customers throughout Spain, offers the possibility of accessing very competitive rates with quality service, including 5G connection and one of the best-rated Customer Service services in the sector.

Finetwork’s convergent rates range from 18.90 euros per month to 34.90 euros per month (1Gb fiber and unlimited mobile data), prices for life. In addition, last week it launched a new convergent rate that includes 2 mobile lines with 30 GB each + 600Mb fiber for only 25.90 euros per month (price for life), the most competitive in the market in this segment. Customers who sign up for this new rate will be able to enjoy 1 year completely free of Finetwork’s Basic TV package, from which they can watch more than 80 thematic channels and all LALIGA HYPERMOTION.

“These studies are very important for Finetwork, as they allow us to understand how consumers think and what their needs are. Thus, we are able to adjust our daily work in line with their demands, always offering quality service and added value that sets us apart,” says Teresa Rivera, Brand and Communication Director of Finetwork.
