The National Prado Museum has announced a special nighttime opening on July 13, coinciding with the second Saturday of the month. The event will take place from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm, allowing visitors to enjoy art at an unusual time and in a unique atmosphere. The visit will include access to the Central Gallery and adjacent rooms, all with free admission and limited capacity to ensure a comfortable and safe experience.
In addition to the traditional visit to the collections, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a cafe service in the Musas room and purchase souvenirs in the store located in the Jerónimos hall. This action, beyond extending the hours, aims to offer a unique and unrepeatable experience.
The ten-year collaboration between the Prado Museum and Samsung will also be present during this nighttime opening. Visitors can explore various multimedia experiences created jointly by both entities, such as the Prado Guide, which is available for free download. To complete the experience, a special photo booth has been designed to commemorate the occasion, where visitors can take pictures and take home a special memento of the night.
The radio station Radio 3 will join this initiative, enlivening the Musas room with a musical selection by their DJs, adding a unique and modern touch to the proposal.
This initiative not only extends the museum’s regular hours, but also provides a new approach to enjoying one of the world’s most important art galleries, combining art, technology, and music in an unforgettable evening.
