The Prado Museum concludes the season with a Night Opening and a New Collection of Stickers.

The Museo Nacional del Prado has announced a special night opening on July 13, the second Saturday of the month, offering a unique experience from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm. This exceptional activity, with limited capacity and free entry, will allow visitors to enjoy the museum’s masterpieces in a different atmosphere. Additionally, in collaboration with Samsung, interactive experiences such as La Guía del Prado and a photo booth designed for the occasion will be presented.

During this night visit, Radio 3 will liven up the evening with the sessions of their DJs: María Taosa (from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm), Rafa Ariza and Esther Valverde (from 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm), and Alex Gara (from 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm) in the Sala de las Musas. Here, visitors can also enjoy the Café Prado service and the shop in the Jerónimos hall.

The first floor of the Villanueva building will be open to visitors, showcasing iconic pieces such as Tintoretto’s “El lavatorio,” Tiziano’s “Carlos V en Mühlberg,” and Rubens’ “Las tres gracias” in the Central gallery. Additionally, since late May, room 8A has housed Caravaggio’s “Ecce Homo,” one of the approximately 60 known works by this master, highlighting its exceptional value.

To complement this cultural experience, the Museo del Prado has launched a collection of 19 stickers for IOS and Android devices. These stickers represent some of the museum’s most emblematic works adapted to an accessible and friendly format for all audiences. Instructions for downloading this collection are available on the museum’s website.

Entry to this night opening will be free and open to the public until full capacity is reached, with the last access allowed at 11:00 pm and entry through the Jerónimos door.

Samsung, a partner of the Museum since 2013, has joined this initiative as part of its Technology with Purpose strategy, which seeks new ways to enjoy art through education and culture. Radio 3, a media outlet committed to culture, continues its collaboration with the Museo del Prado, developing annual activities in its Claustro on culture and creativity.

Finally, the Community of Madrid supports this collaboration to highlight the region’s excellent tourism and cultural offerings. This initiative is part of the Tourism Strategic Plan 2023-2026, promoting cultural tourism and cooperation with reference institutions to strengthen Madrid’s image as a top-tier destination.
