The third edition of the Rocanrola Festival will take place on October 10, 11, and 12, a event that will make history in the country with the most complete lineup of national rap, along with the ‘Living Park’ space that will pay tribute to hip hop culture and the parallel activities of Rocanrola City.
The Rocanrola Festival is on the verge of offering a new edition that will consolidate the proposal as a benchmark for rap genre throughout the national territory. Over three consecutive days, concerts by top-level artists such as Natos y Waor, SFDK, Fernandocosta, Mala Rodríguez, Kaze, Ayax, Prok, Delaossa, Toteking, Recycled J, Hoke, Juancho Marqués, Foyone, Hard GZ, Fyahbwoy, Rapsusklei, El Chojin, Lia Kali, Al Safir, Jarfaiter, Sho-Hai, Falsalarma, Sofía Gabanna, or Ill Pekeño & Ergo Pro, among the more than fifty-five artists who will perform on the three stages.
An emotional edition. The Rocanrola Festival will witness very special moments, such as the farewell of SFDK’s music, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in Alicante, the definitive retirement of Toteking, before presenting his latest work ‘Luces Fuera’, or the more than likely hiatus for Natos y Waor.
Thousands of attendees will arrive in Alicante from all over Spain, and other international destinations, to enjoy the four main elements that make up the hip hop movement in all its facets and modalities.
Living Park, homage to hip hop culture. Once again, the festival will have a large space called Living Park, dedicated to exploring urban culture with a wide program of activities that go beyond music. From urban sports, with exhibitions by the best athletes in their categories, to 3×3 basketball with pure street talent, demonstrations by dunkers and freestyle, as well as free throw competitions, a skate and BMX park with over 30 meters in length, with exhibitions and monitors, urban dance by the team of teachers from the Alicante school Funkadelik, promises of freestyle battles with 32 participants, graffiti with the Barcelona artist Inocuo who will create a 30-meter piece, and much more.
For the convenience of attendees, the festival will have a camping and glamping area, as well as a dining area and other complementary services, to promote an immersive experience and encourage interaction among all attendees.
Rocanrola City, with previous activities. On Saturday, October 5 from 10am to 8pm, the Séneca Space in Alicante will offer an open day as a preview to the Rocanrola Festival. The program throughout the day includes: graffiti exhibition by Barbiturikills, poetry recital and poetry book presentation by Charly EFE, talk with Dani Sainz from Sacramento Studios, round tables with Luisaker and with Santa Salut and K1za, urban dance masterclass by Funkadelik Dance Studio, inauguration of Rocanrola’s photo exhibition, screening of the documentary ‘La cuarta barra’, with unseen images, curiosities about the creation process and debate with its producers Thais Peñalver and Santi García, and to finish a meeting of the public with the artists.
The Rocanrola Festival continues its upward trajectory and has exceeded all expectations from the previous edition, as it is on the verge of selling out all tickets and the organization is finalizing all the details to create an experience that will remain in the memories of hip hop and urban culture enthusiasts.
