TripStop has emerged as the breakthrough at the first stop of the eighth edition of Venture on the Road, a prominent program designed to boost startups in their early stages. This initiative, organized by BStartup from Banco Sabadell, SeedRocket, and Wayra, took place on December 4th at the Science and Technology Park of Gijón, Asturias. The event, which aims to offer new companies the opportunity to showcase their projects to an audience of investors, also had the collaboration of Google Cloud as an additional partner.
The innovative TripStop application was presented as a pioneering solution for travelers in motorhomes or campers. Their platform not only provides updated touristic information but also facilitates real-time bookings, securing a prominent place in a rapidly expanding market. In this competition, TripStop stood out among other promising projects such as AcuPet, focused on pet health monitoring; Enfasys, a modular system for energy management; and Code Evolution 24, an interactive community platform.
During the event, Rubén Ferreiro, CEO of Grupo Viko and mentor at SeedRocket, delivered an inspiring keynote titled “Key Decision: Self-financing or Venture Capital in the Company.” In his speech, Ferreiro addressed the different financing strategies available to entrepreneurs, highlighting their benefits and challenges.
As a recognition of their victory, TripStop will advance to the national final of Venture on the Road, to be held in Madrid in May 2025. Furthermore, they will benefit from valuable resources from the Google Cloud program for digital natives, including credits and advanced training. They will also have the opportunity to be considered for the prestigious SeedRocket Entrepreneur Campus.
The Venture on the Road program will continue its journey through various Spanish cities such as Zaragoza, Seville, Bilbao, Girona, and Alicante, seeking to discover and give visibility to emerging talents throughout the country, beyond the traditional technological hubs of Madrid and Barcelona.
