In response to the devastating floods that have hit the province of Valencia, the Spanish company VB Group has launched a solidarity campaign with the aim of raising funds to support the affected people and families. With offices in various locations, including Valencia, the company has decided to collaborate with the Spanish Red Cross through a direct donation aimed at helping the victims and contributing to the reconstruction of the area. This donation is the result of a joint initiative between the employees and the company.
Jorge Espinós, CEO of VB Group, stated that it is a responsibility of companies to have a positive impact on their surroundings and provide support in critical moments. According to Espinós, for VB Group, this cause is especially significant due to the presence of its office in Valencia and the relationships with friends and collaborators in the region, which increases the desire to alleviate the suffering of the affected people.
The campaign allowed VB Group employees to make voluntary contributions, with the company matching the amount contributed by each worker. All funds raised have been allocated to a fund of the Spanish Red Cross specifically created for this type of disasters, ensuring that the support reaches directly those in need.
Furthermore, VB Group, through its events agency Simmer Events, will promote the organization of corporate events in Valencia. This strategy aims to prioritize the city over other destinations, in order to contribute to the economic revival of the area, showing a long-term commitment to the region.
“We feel the impact of this tragedy in our close environment and we believe in the need to take action,” added Espinós. “Our goal is to offer real and meaningful support both from the company and from all its members,” he concluded.
With actions like this, VB Group demonstrates its social commitment, providing its employees with a safe and effective way to contribute to an urgent cause. The initiative reaffirms the company’s mission to actively participate in the well-being of the communities in which it operates, especially in moments of urgency like the one currently being experienced in Valencia.
