After the devastating passage of the DANA through Valencia, IEBS Biztech School has decided to take a proactive role in supporting those affected by this meteorological phenomenon. The renowned digital business school has announced a solid plan that combines immediate assistance and the promotion of long-term learning to help the community overcome current challenges.
Among the central initiatives that IEBS has implemented, the solidarity training event called “Tech for Valencia” stands out. This event will take place next Tuesday, November 12th and aims to raise funds to support the victims of the DANA. The proceeds from the event will be fully donated to World Central Kitchen, an organization led by chef José Andrés, which provides food assistance in affected areas. In addition, IEBS has pledged to increase the amount raised by an additional 50%, ensuring a minimum of 6,000 euros to guarantee effective support for those in need.
Looking towards the future, IEBS plans to offer a free training program in Artificial Intelligence and New Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This program is aimed at freelancers, professionals, and small businesses in Valencia that have suffered damages from the storm, with the aim of strengthening their skills and facilitating their recovery.
Susana López, co-founder and CEO of IEBS, commented: “With this initiative, we want to show that IEBS is committed not only in times of emergency, but also in the recovery and long-term development of the Valencia community. We are here to support and contribute our knowledge in technology and business so they can rebuild their projects and move forward.”
In addition, IEBS plans to organize more training events and webinars addressing the psychological and motivational needs of affected professionals, demonstrating their comprehensive commitment to the community.
