Lantania Registers its First Commercial Paper Program on the MARF for 50 Million

The Fixed Income Market of BME (MARF) has admitted to trading a commercial paper program from the Lantania Group for an amount of 50 million euros. The commercial papers, which will be issued under this program, will have unit nominal values of 100,000 euros and maturities that can range between 3 days and a maximum term of 24 months. This program is the first one the company registers in the MARF, allowing it to access qualified investors and diversify its sources of short-term financing.

AFI has participated as the Registered Advisor, while Banco Santander is the Coordinating Entity of the program. In addition to Banco Santander, Banco Sabadell will act as the Placing Entity of the commercial papers. Pérez-Llorca Abogados has been the legal advisor for this operation.

EthiFinance Rating has awarded Grupo Lantania a long-term rating of BB with a stable trend. This evaluation reaffirms the stability and solvency of the group in its operations and projects.

Grupo Lantania is a Spanish conglomerate specializing in infrastructure, water project management, energy, and construction. In the infrastructure area, the company stands out for carrying out projects that cover a wide range of activities, from the construction of highways, high-speed and conventional railway lines, to railway stations, urbanization works, viaducts, and tunnels, among other civil engineering projects.

In the water sector, Lantania addresses the entire integral cycle, from capture, potabilization, distribution, and purification, to the return of purified water to natural channels. This segment has been strengthened by desalination services, which include the design, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance of desalination plants globally.

Regarding energy, Lantania encompasses renewable energy projects and participates in the design, construction, and maintenance of energy generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructures. It also handles high-voltage projects, substations, and transmission lines.

In construction, the group is involved in a wide variety of residential and non-residential constructions, in both public and private sectors.

By the end of 2023, Grupo Lantania reached a turnover of 375 million euros and obtained an EBITDA of 12.5 million. The company has an ongoing work portfolio valued at over 700 million euros and assets exceeding 200 million euros. With a presence in 11 countries, Lantania has a workforce of over 1,000 employees and is composed of seven companies: Lantania, Lantania Aguas, Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón, DSV Constructora y Ferroviaria, Gestilar Construcciones, Balzola, and Indania. Additionally, the company applies the principles of the United Nations Global Compact in all its operations.
