Miele appliances awarded with 11 iF Design Awards 2023.

6 Miele appliances have been awarded this year, with two significant international awards. All of them have been awarded the iF Design Awards 2023, and five with the Red Dot Design Awards. The jury for the IF Design Awards consisted of 132 experts from over 120 countries worldwide, while the jury for the Red Dot Design Awards consisted of 40 international experts.

The appliances awarded with both accolades are the KM 7897 Diamond induction cooktop and the KMDA 7473 and KMDA 7272 Silence induction cooktops with integrated extractor.

Finding and rewarding proposals with greater innovative power and discovering the next emerging design star is the task of the globally renowned iF DESIGN AWARD, which since 1954 has stood as a symbol of excellence in design. The same goes for the Red Dot Design Award, where factors such as functionality, aesthetics, and innovation are valued to select the award-winning products among thousands of designers, architects, and companies worldwide.

In addition to the quality of the product design, the jury’s evaluation also included aspects such as sustainability, longevity, and ergonomics. The KMDA 7473 Silence induction cooktop with integrated extractor meets these criteria, as it is a discreet and elegant cooking surface with a discreet rectangular design, catering to those who demand both aesthetics and functionality. Thanks to its flush-extraction system with high-quality stainless steel crossbars, it seamlessly integrates into modern kitchens. With flexible installation and maximum use of space, the cooktop even allows for the use of drawers in the cabinet located directly below. The result is maximum flexibility in kitchen design thanks to Miele’s quietest TwoInOne, automatic regulation of fan levels, and compact handling of the cooktop with a numeric keypad.

Similarly, the KM 7897 induction cooktop with DiamondFinish coating on the glass-ceramic surface has also been awarded. This cooktop can withstand continuous use of kitchen utensils, keeping it like new for longer and significantly reducing scratches from frequently moving cookware when cooking. With this new technology, scratches caused by sand are reduced by 95% and those caused by abrasive sponges by 70%.

These awards are further evidence of Miele’s commitment to continuously adapt to the latest trends in cooking, always attentive to the market and with a long-term perspective. All of this is done without forgetting the German brand’s commitment to sustainability, where they work tirelessly to always incorporate the latest technology into their appliances and make them sustainable, further reducing CO2 emissions and electricity bills.

Thus, aware of the fundamental role that kitchens play within a home, Miele reaffirms its commitment to creating spaces that combine practicality and beauty. Attractive and aesthetic designs that are also functional and purposeful, making consumers’ daily lives easier.
