DIY projects with scrap wood
The first idea is using scrap wood for making wall decorations. In this case it is very easy to make this project fit the style of our home because we can do it with the colors we prefer. We have selected 4 basic projects:
- Christmas decor. We can use this material to make decoration for our exterior as it is very resistant. It is a way to decorate your house in Christmas without buying that cheap ornaments that look so tasteless
- Wall composition. You can create a wall composition like the one below. You can choose your favorite pictures, colors or patters. With some imagination you can have awesome results
- Words decor. Decorating with words and letters is so trendy nowadays. You can use this technique to put some words that remind you good moments or to put your names… there are endless possibilities!

Instead of using just pieces of wood and decorating them, you can use them to put some candle holders. This looks really well in Christmas and makes your home feel warm in winter.
The last idea for decorating your walls is creating a shelf like the one below. Original, don’t you think so? You have to take the pieces of wood, paint them in black and then fix them to the wall forming a branch.

For the most sophisticated places, here we have some ideas to put your favorite plants or flowers. There are a lot of different possibilities, some easy ideas for starters and other ones more difficult, like the plant hanger, for DIY experts.
If you want to decorate your garden with this technique, paint some pieces of scrap wood and make a little fence for your plants. If you paint the wood in brilliant colors the result will be even better.
