The reopening of the Mediterranean Palace Hotel in Tenerife with revamped facilities.

Mediterranean Palace, the iconic and pioneering hotel in Playa de las Américas, on the island of Tenerife, reopens its doors after a comprehensive renovation that offers facilities inspired by tropical and natural elements, contrasted with a contemporary design. This renovation has also extended to its gastronomic offering, which includes two new a la carte restaurants and the refurbishment of the main restaurant. The offering is complemented by the pool bar “Kiosco”, the terrace “Drago”, the Sports Bar, and the Magma Night Show.

The 5-star Mediterranean Palace hotel, located in the Mare Nostrum Resort in Tenerife on the beachfront with views of the Atlantic Ocean, has been completely renovated and is ready to welcome guests with new and exciting enhancements starting this July.

The renovation project involves modernizing over 450 rooms and suites, as well as a comprehensive revamp of common areas and facilities under sustainability criteria. Mediterranean Palace has incorporated design elements with white as the main color, combining textures of tropical and rustic-inspired woods, and multiple details of natural fibers that evoke craftsmanship and local art. All this contrasted with contemporary design furniture and lighting and a constant presence of natural vegetation that brings a clear Amazonian inspiration to the whole.

In addition, Mediterranean Palace has expanded its gastronomic offering with themed restaurants, varied cuisines, and styles to cater to its customers. Among the novelties is “Diábolo”, an Italian restaurant inspired by the circus, theater, and carnival of Venice, and “Coal-Smoked room”, where meat and charcoal take center stage. Around the pool, “Kiosco” offers snacks, drinks, and cocktails, and “Drago Terrasse” is the ideal place to enjoy a coffee in the afternoon or a cocktail in the evening.

A new area called “The Pier”, under the Food Festival concept, offers a wide variety of stations with a coastal pier-inspired style, focusing on a relaxed and family-oriented essence, with a gastronomic offering based on the best product adapted to current trends.

The hotel has also designed a new uniformity with lightweight textiles for greater comfort for the human team and has implemented electrically adjustable beds, significantly improving the quality of work for the housekeeping staff.

During the project, the needs of the smallest members of the family have been considered, modernizing the large children’s club with a new cinema room, an instrument room, and a new climbing wall. Outside, they have also set up a splash park and a beach volleyball court.

All these new facilities and restaurants complement those of the Mare Nostrum Resort, which includes two other hotels: Sir Anthony, a luxury boutique hotel, and Cleopatra Palace, a relaxing and comfortable hotel for couples. The complex also has restaurants like Palapa Beach Club and Hard Rock Café Tenerife.

The renovation of the Mediterranean Palace hotel aims to offer visitors an unforgettable and high-quality vacation experience. Alejandro Crespo, general manager of the Mare Nostrum Resort, has expressed his satisfaction with the hotel’s renovation, emphasizing: “We are committed to offering our guests the best possible experience, and we are confident that these improvements will ensure that the Mediterranean Palace hotel remains a reference in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tenerife.”

With its stunning oceanfront location and wide range of services and amenities, the Mediterranean Palace hotel is more than just a vacation spot; it’s a home away from home for many families and generations on the beautiful island of Tenerife.
